What is a private pilot certificate?
The private pilot certificate is usually the first rating that you will get as a new pilot. This certificate permits you to fly anywhere you like during the day or night in visual flight conditions (not in the clouds), and carry passengers.  Private pilots are not permitted to charge for the service of piloting commercial flights.

Additional instruction in weather and more intensive instrument flight training in flight solely by reference to instruments is the core of Instrument Flight Training. Testing consists of a knowledge test and a practical test (known more commonly as a check-ride).

What is a commercial pilot certificate?
One must hold at least a current third-class FAA medical certificate. Later, if your flying requires a commercial pilot certificate, you must hold a second-class medical certificate. Hold an instrument rating. A commercial pilot is presumed to have an instrument rating.Jan 31, 2017.

Flight Instructor

What is a flight instructor?

Flight instructors are responsible for teaching students how to fly aircraft. This normally includes instruction both on the ground and in the sky, and may include instruction in cockpit instruments, aerodynamics and similar subjects. Flight instructors must have a pilot's license and be certified by the FAA as a flight instructor.

 

Instrument Flight Instructor

What is an instrument flight instructor?
Instrument flight instructor candidates will fly IFR maneuvers and procedures from the instructor's seat of the airplane. They will practice teaching as their instructor simulates being a student. Candidates who are instrument current and proficient will have an advantage in training.
